Booking Terms and Conditions
The name La Cahudière refers to a complex of 2 gîtes which can be booked separately or in multiple. These terms and conditions apply to both gîtes in the La Cahudière complex.

Making a Booking
Our aim is to ensure that your requirements are met as fully as possible. In order to ensure that your gîte selection and dates can be met we advise you to contact us prior to booking. However we do not offer any guarantee of availability until we have receipt of a signed booking form and a 50% deposit cheque or BACs payment and we confirm your booking.

The booking form asks for all the details of your holiday requirements and how to calculate the deposit required. On receipt of these we will confirm your holiday with you. We will ask for the balance and any additional charges to be made 8 weeks (56 days) before the start of your holiday. If you book a holiday 8 weeks (56 days) or less before the start of your holiday period you will normally be asked for payment in full at the time of booking.

Holiday Charges
Our literature and our website states services included in the weekly rental price and those items, which shall be charged for separately. Should you wish to pay for your holiday in Euro you will be charged at the rate issued by the bank ‘Credit Agricole’ relevant at the time of paying your deposit and the balance. The 50% deposit is calculated on the basic gîte(s) hire only and will not include any additional items you may have requested.

Liability for Payment
The individual who signs the booking form shall be responsible for payment of the holiday in full. If we do not receive your final payment by the due date in response to our letter requesting the balance, we will reserve the right to treat your booking as cancelled by you. We will then levy a cancellation charge according to the charges laid out in the ‘Cancellation by You’ (See Below). The cancellation charge will be deducted from you deposit and if appropriate part of the balance payment.

In such a situation we do not accept any liability for any compensation but will of course refund monies already paid by you whether in part or in full.

Care of Your Gîte and security deposit
There is an expectation that you will make every effort to leave the Gite as you found it and exercise a responsibility of reasonable care for the building, its contents and grounds. On departure, should the condition of the property be in a state that may reasonably be judged unacceptable then this will be considered damage and a portion or the whole of the security deposit may be retained.

The gîte will be checked at the end of your holiday by the on-site owner and your pre-paid security deposit returned to you less any deductions if deemed necessary. This deposit may also cover lost articles. Your deposit will be refunded by cheque or BACs payment 2 weeks after the conclusion of your holiday.

Your Guests
Your gîte(s) have a maximum sleeping capacity. The number of occupants including any guests you may have should not exceed this. The site owner should be informed of any guests you may have staying overnight.
